Resist Training PDF Print E-mail

For resist training, the resist force is set on a resist force slider. The number of repetitions and the interval time are similarly set. The program is started and the swimmer pushes the front panel button and swims at maximum speed against the resist force. When the swimmer reaches the far end of the pool he stops swimming, lays on his back and the E-Rack retrieves him to the start. When swimmer reaches the start the E-Rack stops and the swimmer waits for the program generated signal to start the next repetition. The program continues until the set number of repetitions is completed. Speed and Power for 15 repetitions are held on screen until a new training session is started. And all can be stored in Excel files.

A chart recorder displays Distance, Speed, and Power. A vertical meter set on the right records and displays Training Session Time, Repetition Number, and Resist Force in Newtons and Pounds for each repetition. These meter values are held until the next repetition is begun. The horizontal meter set captures and holds values for Average Resisted Speed and Average Resisted Power. The last 15 repetitions will be held with a maximum total of 30 repetitions for each session.

On-screen zoom function allows enlarging any part of any recorder channel for viewing of details of each stroke.  On-screen measurements are made with pull down scroll bars (not shown) to display details over any interval of data including speed max, min and average, acceleration, etc.   Distance, Power and Timing Mark channels are turned off to give full screen viewing of Speed profile.  Speed is captured between 5 meters and 20 meters, although instantaneous speed and average speed over any distance can be measured.
